From the 9th to 16th January I was practically involved helping out at the Sunway Pyramid Bowling centre as they were having their 34th & 23rd Malaysian Interstate National Bowling Championships for all ages of Malaysian bowlers.
This was my first time hanging and helping out at the bowling alley and it was pretty much an interesting experience which I would appreciate. During the event, there were many interesting people which I got to meet and had the chance to know each other better regardless of race and age.Although it was only a short get to know period, we managed to strengthen our ties by having fun crapping and entertaining ourselves while working under stressful situation during work. Truly a 1Malaysia moment where you can see bowlers from all ages come with high spirits to win the event.
I was technically helping out at the registration counter and over the days I came across many interesting youths at the counter. Most youth's these days are so *PAMPERED* that when they come to the bowling alley with their parents, their poor parents would be the ones registering for the event for them while they just stand there as king and queens overlooking their parents. (Ps : Kids below 12 years old & below are not included in this category. When I say youths -I'm referring to those 13years and above).
However, there were some parents who left the task to their kids and you'd be surprise to come across most kids these days do not even bother much about their own basic particulars. Some found it difficult to even fill up their own addresses, telephone numbers, race and religion when they had to manually fill up their details on paper.
GOSSHHH~~see what TECHNOLOGY has done to the YOUNGER GENERATIONS~~!!
They are relying too much on their handphones for their own contact number while relying on their Identity cards for their address..while some other youths even got confuse over filling up their own race and religion. They'd even go to the extend asking their parents how to fill up such a simple form.
"What's the house address /telephone number ?"
" Whats my race /religion?"
Oooppss...should we blame these youths for not being to understand such basic words or should the blame be put on our education system/technology which make us ignorant of such things ?? Oh well..this question I leave it up to your own discretion to decide. (*winks*) Oh well, hopefully next round we can hope to see that the parents might be able to help their kids by letting them do the registration themselves.
(P.S: The kids would be thankful to u - MUMs & DADs that they would know what their basic particulars are in case if they get lost / kidnap near future and to the KIDDOS YOUTHHsss...its for your OWN GOOD!!)
Below are some random shots which I took throughout the event with some lane marshals and friends~~
I'm glad that I got to meet interesting people while helping out at the alley....
While some took friendship way ahead of what it was *SUPPOSED* to be
